* UPDATE ON NEW BUILDING*
The Partners Invite you to review the
development plans for our new surgery
We want our patients to be involved in our plans from the outset. We have already held a drop in event when the developers and architect joined us to show the plans which went really well. We received a lot of very positive feedback which was great. THANK YOU TO ALL WHO ATTENDED.
You can review the plans in the surgery as they are now displayed in the waitng areas. All patients and interested parties are welcome to pop in and review the plans – all comments will be welcome and taken into consideration.
The new building is essential to ensure we can develop and deliver health care that meets our patients’ needs well into the future.
With your input we hope to create a new building that serves this purpose in the best way possible.
Updates on this project will be posted here.

* Blood Pressure Machine - Self Check*
We now have a machine at the back of the waiting room where you can check your blood pressure. The machine produces a small print out of your readings which the Doctors will review, so please pass these to the Receptionist. Ideally you should take two reading about 5 minutes apart. Please feel free to use the machine even if you do not think you have any problems with your Blood Pressure.
* TRAINING PRACTICE - REGISTRAR *
Dr David Shutt is our registrar for the this year. We hope that you will all support Dr Shutt whilst he is with us.
* SATURDAY OPENING - Pre-Bookable Appointments Only*
At present we are open every alternative Saturday from 8.45-12.45 for pre-booked appointments with a GP. We will have one partner and one regular locum working. The phone lines are still diverted to the out of hours service at this time so you are unable to contact the surgery. The Saturday appointments are being offered to ensure that any patient who struggles to get to see a GP Mon-Fri does have access, but these appointments are open to anyone who wishes to book a Saturday in advance.
* Walk In Service in Calderdale *
A walk in service at Horne Street is available to all our registered patients for minor illness or injury 8am- 8pm seven days a week. Heath House will still provide you with your ongoing health care and support and the A&E department at the hospital is still where to go in an emergency. You are not required to register with the walk in centre to access their services. As you can only register with one practice for your general care - your registered practice will be Heath House and you can take advantage of the walk in service whenever appropriate.
* ALL NEW PATIENTS WELCOME! *
We welcome EVERYONE who lives in our practice area and wishes to join the practice. Please call into reception bringing some offical ID with you (passport, driving licence, birth certificate etc). You will be asked to complete a short registration form and invited to attend a registration medical (15 mins) to ensure we have details about your health to help us help you!
