* TRAINING PRACTICE - REGISTRAR *
Our first registrar started with us in August 08. Dr Supreena Devakumar will be with us for a year. She is now running her own surgeries alongside the doctors here. We hope that you will all support Dr Devakumar whilst she is with us and we are enjoyiong working with her as part of our team.
* EXTENDED ACCESS - GP APPOINTMENTS - SATURDAY MORNINGS*
In line with national guidelines we are increasing access to GP appointments from 6th September. This will be initially on a trial basis. Appointments will be available on Saturday mornings and will need to be pre-booked. These appointments are being offered to help patients see a GP who struggle to attend during normal surgery hours, perhaps due to work commitments. No other services will be available on a Saturday morning and the telephones will still go directly through to our out of hours service for patients who have urgent medical needs.
* UPDATE ON NEW BUILDING*
The initial plans submitted by the developer were withdrawn as the council will not permit the existing building to be demolished. This has meant that new plans are now under consideration which will incorporate the exisitin building. This will result in fewer car parking spaces but we hope it will still give us the purpose built facitlites that we want to develop services for our patients.
