OPENING TIMES

Heath House is open between 8.00am - 6.00pm Monday to Friday*.
*Every Friday the surgery is closed from 12.30-1.30pm for staff training.

INTRODUCTION

Heath House Surgery has been in its present premises for over 12 years. The building was the sixth form of the former grammar school, which is now Heath Training Centre next door. The surgery has access for the disabled with all consulting and treatment rooms based on the ground floor along with a patient toilet.

The partners are independent contractors who have formed an equal partnership (unlimited) under the name Heath House Surgery. Calderdale Primary Care Trust has contracted the partnership to deliver primary care medical services to the local community in line with the NHS national standards.

All patients' notes are computerised and details of any consultations are recorded directly into this system.

AIM

Heath HouseSurgery is a training practice and is involved with the hospital in the training of recently qualified doctors who wish to become General Practitioners )GP). A GP Registrar will normally be assigned to the practice for 6 or 12 months and will be running surgeries alongside the partners. Notices will be displayed and reception will advise when the trainees/newly qualified doctors are observing. If you prefer not to have the observer present during your consultation please feel free to advise reception or the doctor you are seeing.

Please note that smoking is not permitted on the premises or the grounds. Dogs are not allowed in the building with the exception of guide dogs.
